This year, the organisers have once again come up with a very special treat in cooperation with the clay processing companies: The pottery competition will take place again! The exhibits will be on display in the Alte Schmiede (Bachstraße) during the opening hours of the market and can be viewed by visitors. There will also be an opportunity to work with clay on the potter's wheel on the market square. There will also be plenty to eat and drink. There are numerous stalls and tents spread across the entire market offering well-known snacks as well as local dishes such as stew soup, potato pancakes and much more. Our tip: We are also planning to give visitors the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the Schmidtchen clay pit again in 2025. The tour will be organised in cooperation with the company Lassmann Tonbergbau. Meeting point: Market square/corner of Eiscafé Marco. From there, there will be a small shuttle bus to the clay pit. We also recommend a visit to the ‘Alter Kannenofen’ ensemble at Töpferstraße 2a. Information on this can be found at www.keramikerleben.de.
On Sunday, 5 October 2025, the shops will be open from 13:00 to 18:00. Also on this day, from 11.00 to 16.00, the 11th Young & Oldtimer Meeting will take place in front of the town hall. The town of Ransbach-Baumbach will once again be transformed into an Eldorado for fans of petticoats, bell bottoms and rock ‘n’ roll. The young and oldtimer meeting will not only delight you with cars, lorries, vans, tractors and motorbikes dating back to the 1930s, but also musically: ‘Pippi and the 50’s boy’ will take you back to the 50s and 60s with groovy music and lots of fun. An exhibition on model making and technology awaits you in the foyer. There will also be plenty of refreshments on offer. The Friends of the Ransbach-Baumbach Volunteer Fire Brigade will provide you with cold drinks and tasty treats from the barbecue. For the ‘sweet tooth’: A small café awaits you in the winter garden of the Ransbach-Baumbach town hall. There you can watch the hustle and bustle in the car park while enjoying coffee and cake.
